Jean Dubuffet gives us to see in this work all the force of the language of the art brut and the technique
of the scribble which allow the artist to express here with spontaneity and tenderness the disarray of
the human solitude. The character, visible heir of the artistic experience of Hourloupe, seems to be
gradually and inexorably engulfed by the frenzy of a mineral landscape realized thanks to a
relentless duo of black and white from which reaches us the weak cry of the Man, form appearing as
in weightlessness thanks to this subtle small collage.
