WITH: 2 autograph letters from Georges Bans, the first one of 3 pages dated October 13, 1892, addressed to the Director of "La Nature" [Gaston Tissandier] concerning a forthcoming nocturnal ascent [probably the one of the "Zenith" which took place on October 19]; the second one of 2p. undated, also addressed to Gaston Tissandier, concerning the invention of an "aerial logbook", of which a printed copy is enclosed. Booklet bound in tobacco half-percaline, marbled boards, long title on the spine; with handwritten dispatch signed by Georges Bans to Paul Tissandier, son of Gaston Tissandier. Document of great rarity, accompanied by two beautiful handwritten letters of the author, one detailing the lighting equipment planned for the night ascent of October 1892.
