Job Scott (1751-1793) was a Quaker missionary born in Providence (Rhode Island): he first travelled through the states of North America (Massachussets, Vermont, Georgia, North Carolina, Maryland), before undertaking an evangelistic tour of Great Britain following the death of his wife in 1791. Small lateral tear to ff. v-vi, and ix-x without loss of lettering.
