The Apparition of the Virgin to the Holy Prince St. Andrew Bogolioubski Icon of Russian origin, from the 18th century. Interesting travel triptych, tempera on wood for the central panel covered with a gilded metal embossed riza, the two panels are completely covered with gilded metal embossed. Prince Andrew Bogolioubski (God's Lover) ruled Rus' in the 12th century. He was canonized by the Orthodox Church in the 18th century. This triptych is in the form of a portable chapel, the upper part, in the form of a dome with the representation of the Trinity of the New Testament, above the Apparition of the Virgin to the Holy Prince, on the right flap, St. Fyodor and the Holy Prince Michael, on the left two Holy Bishops. Very good condition.
