The dressing table we present is the one reproduced in Les ébénistes du XIXe siècle 1795-1889, Denise Ledoux-Lebard, Les éditions de l'Amateur, Paris, 2003, page 78 ; as well as L'Ameublement d'art français 1850-1900, Camille Mestdagh, Les éditions de l'Amateur, Paris, 2010, pages 266 and 267 (fig. 312 and 313).

Compare this dressing table with a table in the Demidov collection, acquired by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild at the San Donato sale in 1880, now in the James A. de Rothschild collection at Waddesdon Manor (inv. 3472). Both have identical inlaid decoration, showing the extraordinary ability of the craftsmen employed by Beurdeley to produce work of remarkable quality, using as a model the engravings after Christophe Huet, entitled "Le tambour de basque" and "Le tambourin".

Among the dressing tables of the same model by Beurdeley, we must mention :

- The table auctioned in London, Bonhams, October 1, 2008, lot 288.

- The table auctioned in London, Christie's, January 25, 2005, lot 341.

- The table presented in Monaco, HVMC, April 27, 2019, lot 10.
