This miniature represents an episode from the famous story Leila and Majnun, the third poem in the famous Khamseh collection written by Nizami in the 12th century. In a landscape are planted tents composed of of fabrics richly decorated with floral patterns. In the lower part stands the beautiful Leila, who receives an old lady old lady accompanied by Majnun, represented as an emaciated emaciated ascetic. Circa 1900. Sight: 38.5 x 25 cm.
