Manufacture of SEVRES (hard porcelain) Part of table service in white porcelain, with decoration gold on the edge of a frieze of rinceaux including : - 26 dinner plates (1 plate with the monogram worn). - 8 soup plates (1 plate with small chips). Figured AC for Albert Calmette. Marked, 1876 for the whites, 1883 for the gilding. Third Republic period. (Wear of gold). This dinner service belonged to the famous Doctor Albert Calmette, who developed with Marcel Guérin between 1904 and 1928 the vaccine against tuberculosis thanks to the BCG. Albert Calmette was the brother of Emile Calmette, medical inspector Inspector General of the Army, and Gaston Calmette.
