132- [INDOCHINA WAR] - [Photographs]. S.l., 1947-1963, 2 parts in one vol. in-8 oblong (19 x 27 cm), [64] and [30] ff. n. ch., arranged head to foot, and gathering respectively 472 and 221 laminated photographic prints, some in color, generally dated, but not precisely captioned, apart from some mentions of places, modest unbleached cloth, smooth mute spine, laces closing on the gutter with an acorn-shaped wooden dowel, rope weavings on the boards, navy anchor laminated in the center of the upper board (period binding). Emotional album covered with a handmade binding most certainly composed by the sailor who gathered the photographs, and realized with "the means of the board". A souvenir photograph with a sending of the boxer Marcel Petit (f. 3v) gives us his name: André Saison. He seems to have practiced boxing as an amateur before his incorporation, if one believes the number of prints representing him practicing this sport. He was part of the "Neptune" class of the T.E.R. School of Cap-Brun (1947). Attached is a large commemorative tin bowl (25 cm in diameter), which seems to have belonged to André Saison, decorated on the rim with a rough drawing of a snake, and on the underside of which have been engraved circularly the ports of call and the assignments found in the album: Pont-Réan - Cap Brun - Algeria - Montcalm, etc.
