172. The virgin Hodighitria Tempera on panel. Center of a triptych. Greece, 18th century. The icon's original polychromy has been completely covered, a common practice on a damaged piece and/or a highly oxidized varnish. The original painting is clearly visible under the shrinkage of the repentirs, the original icon is possibly in a rather good state of preservation. 18.5 x 24 cm
