112-[DURAND (Sophie Cohonset, widow)]. Very rare with portraits. New edition of the work published in Paris and London (Colburn) in 1818 under the title Anecdotes sur la cour et l'intérieur de la famille de Napoléon Bonarparte. The publication had been made by Defauconpret on the basis of notes communicated to her by Madame Durand, who ultimately refuted this edition in the foreword to her true memoirs, published in 1819. This second edition was modified to appear more favorable to Napoleon. Tulard, 479. A good copy. Stiffness of one quire.
