First edition. Tulard, 656: "What makes these memoirs, which were so successful in German, so interesting is that they give the point of view of a cavalry officer in the service of Austria on the campaigns of 1805 (Ulm and the council of war that judged Mack), 1809 (the role of Archduke Charles at Wagram) and 1812 (Schwarzenberg's corps incorporated into the Grande Armée). Valuable information on Bavaria in 1813, Hanau and the invasion of France". A good copy. Ex-libris Bibliothèque du Franc-Port. Some brown spots.
