First edition, the only one published. Extremely rare. Volumes 1 to 5 are devoted to the Ancien Régime and the Revolution, under the title Mémoires de mon père et Ma Jeunesse. It is at the end of volume 5 that the Memoirs of M. de La Rochefoucauld, Duc de Doudeauville really begin, with the period of the Hundred Days. The section devoted to the Empire is therefore extremely limited. On the other hand, it is one of the most important accounts of the Restoration and the July Monarchy: "It provides a wealth of information on political, literary and artistic life at the time of the Restoration and up to 1843" (Bertier).
