Jean-Baptiste Bertrand (1670-1752), a graduate of the Montpellier Faculty of Medicine, settled in Marseille in 1707 and played an important role during the famous plague of 1720. Paper occasionally browned, lateral tear to one leaf, some rubbing to binding.
