À Amsterdam, 1782-1788, 12 vol. in-8, porphyry basane, smooth spine decorated, monogram at foot, triple gilt fillet framing the boards, pebbled edges, brown morocco (volumes 1 to 8) and green morocco (volumes 9 to 12) titles and tomes, with a slight difference in irons (period binding). First "complete and definitive edition". Complete with Mercier's frontispiece portrait on volume IX. A good copy. Initials F. Z. at foot of each spine. Small loss at lower head of volume V, some spotting, ink stain on title pages of last four volumes to conceal ownership mark.
