(1808), in-8, red morocco, smooth ornate spine, triple gilded fillet framing the covers, arms in center, gilded edges, guilloché edges and interior, blue paper endpapers (period binding). A very fine copy bearing the arms of Maximilian I, King of Bavaria (1766-1825), an ally of France. His daughter Augusta-Amalia married Prince Eugène de Beauharnais, Napoleon's adopted son and viceroy of Italy, in 1806.
