Ancient Mosul Ferahan Iran Circa 1930/40 Dimensions 207 x 138 cm Wool velvet on cotton foundation. Slight natural oxidation (proof of age). Abrache' brick-red field ( natural wool change) decorated with rows of stylized geometric flower plants surrounded by stylized ivory, sky-blue and saffron trees of life in the form of a stylized mosaic. Four saffron-yellow spandrels with motifs echoing the central field. Beige main border with rows of small cubes surrounded by stylized colored stones.
